It must be a one-timer from the Performance Studio for one of those oil king guys.

...........that is an old G63 that has a NA V12. It used to be made as a special order item for wealthy folks. The New up comming G63 is the same NA 6.2L V8 as in the ML63, E63 etc.

Indeed, it's the old Non turbo V12 from the S 63/CL 63. Specially made for some extraordinary rich customers.

And there will be come no G with the 6,2 ltr. engine (in standard production of course) because they just upgraded the 55 like they did with the SL!

..........absolutely certain that the G55 will be discontinued after 06 which for the US will be called 07 car. After that, either MB comes up with the G63 or decides not to build an AMg version of the the G-class. I doubt that later will be be the case.

Indeed, the old 6.3L v12 was to the regular 00-02 5.8L NA V12 what the 65 AMG is to the present 600. I believe the power was 444 hp, and was offered on the S, CL and G (very limited). This never made it to the states. At the time, this was a considerable upgrade, considering the regular V12 cranked out 362 hp. (Nowadays, the basic v8 engine make more than that... talk about advancement in such a short time).

Well, if they could fit the N/A V12, does anyone know if they made any TT V12 G's?

AMG does make G65 bi-turbos on special request, but not for the US market. I know one guy in Dubai who has a white G65 based on a 2005 model year G-wagen (LWB). The cost is very high, a premium of about Euros 50k above the G55 Kompressor.

Unfortunately, AMG is unwilling to produce a G55 Kompresor version of the G-Class cabriolet, only a N/A G55 is possible in the SWB body.
