I have 24,000 miles on my Yoko Geolanders (there done) and would like to get a recommendation on what is the best hi-performance tire to put on my stock 2005 G55 with stock rims. I live in Florida and do not off road, but need a tire that handles great in wet and dry.

I thought the G55 comes with Yoko AVS S/T 285/55R18 tires...at least that's what mine had and all others I've seen. Anyway, I don't like the AVS S/T because they are noisy and give a pretty harsh ride. Yokohama now have another high performance SUV tire in this size which has a higher speed rating while being quieter and a little more comfortable. The ADVAN S.T. is what I have on my G55 now and I'm quite happy with the noticeable improvement over the AVS S/T. More info on this tire is available at:

I have always been a big fan as well as had great experience with Pirelli Sorpion Zero's (NOT the S/T).

Jimmy is correct about the name of the Yoko's.
Neil, wonder why yours are done aleady at 24k miles. I have almost 40k on mine with plenty of tread left. I rotate mine every 10k miles with the oil service and have had real good even wear. I do however have 45mm wheel spacers on my G55, I doubt it has anything to do with tread wear though.
I looked around and would still stick with the Yoko's, although with the new Advan ones that were mentioned above.
