mirror fluid
A week ago I parked my G in a parking and when I walked out I saw that somebody hit my mirror on the passenger side. The shell and everything was fine except of the mirror glass was smashed out and there was this fluid from the mirror all over the side of the car. I took it to benz and they fixed the mirror($500 for just the glass piece)
but when they washed it the fluid did'nt come off. So acouple of days later I washed it but the fluid wouldnt would not come off....I tried everything from paint cleaner to tar remover and it took the klumps off but it left little brown dots in the paint and also what really got me mad was it got on the plastic covering on the rear fender and that WILL NOT COME OFF with everything i tried to do. I called benz and i told them about it and they said bring it by and they will have the detail dept. look at it but i think they will have to replace the plastic covering for sure. before i bring it to benz does anyone know what will take this crap off???

Is it dry?
have you tried claying it,with clay bar and detailer spray as a lube?
you could have done the glass r/r yourself.

Then if you are
brave ,you are going to have to compound the clear down one layer at a time without cutting thru to the paint.Look up menzerna intensive polish on the web.Properauto care or something like that and read up,it can be saved,which can't be said for the poor soul that busted it..........
