All I can say is that the G55 (2009) LOOKS AMAZING, Im glad I ordered one, and I really hope that they keep producing the G Wagen for many many years to come! No other cross-country vehicle or four-wheel drive can even compare.
Looking forward to hearing any new rumors or updates at all on the legendary G Wagen - 2009 onwards!

I think a G wagon is one of the safest vehicles you can ride around in. From personal experience, we were in an accident in a G a few years back. We were slowing down because traffic was stopped ahead, we were rear-ended by a grand cherokee, pushing our G into the suburban in front of us. Long story short, both the other SUV's were totaled while our G only suffered a cracked tail light.... This was with a full load of kids in our G.

G wagons are a cult item. The AMG variant is just cream. I dunno what MB will do, but from a truck perspective the 55K is a great fit. Turbos are ok, but imply winding up and that is not good when crawling.

Went up in price to. It's around 120k msrp. I just asked pretty. Unless the info i got is wrong.
I been in a market for a car for while now. Currently still driving my parents GL550 ( SHAME ON ME ) haha.
My price range is around 100k I dont know what to get. If i lease my budget is around 1300 to 1500 a month. So we will see. I am pretty happy with the GL550. I might just take over my parents lease. They got 36 months they are already about a year in it.
Just so many nice cars out there for that range.
