ICON G55, WARNING: Too Awesome for Eyes
I haven't seen this posted so I figured I would share it. ICON if you don't already know makes very high end / specialized / custom 4x4 vehicles that are among the sickest vehicles around, IMO. The team did a one-off job on a 2011 G55 that included pretty much everything:
Here is a short list of what was done:
Custom Matte Paint Job
Custom Grills (front, sides, hood)
Powder coated wheels
Custom roof rack / ladder
Custom sub floor and upgraded speakers all around
Replaced all wood trim interiors with matte aluminum
Leather wrapped steering wheels / gear knob
Custom milled exterior touches (side markers, side molding inserts, spare cover, door locks)
New LED headlights, LED Accent lights (barabus style) and Xenotech light bar

This is probably my favorite G55 treatment to date. Everything done right.
The only things I don't like is they replaced the door leather with chilewich material. Also,not a huge fan of the sideboards / exhaust.
I'd love to get my hands on those custom sidemarkers, smoked signal markers, etc..
Enjoy, but also be prepared to look at your own Gxx a little differently.

Looks like a ton of great looking upgrades. I think MB gets away with too much cheesy plastic IMO. They put it on the gills on the SL for christs sake. MB should watch this video and make most of these exterior changes. The G is a cash cow for them, they could afford to put some high end pieces on it.

The guy speaking is Johnathan Ward, founder at Icon 4x4. May not be everyone's style, but this guy has built trucks that are unreal. Quality is unmatched. Well over $100K for any of his vintage trucks.

2011 G55
Johnathan Ward is a super guy. His specializes on land cruisers mainly vintage FJ's and he is one of if not the best at it. I have driven an FJ55 he did several years ago while at his shop and his work speaks for itself. Maybe he is not a MB fanatic, but give the guy a break.
