The elephant in the room: 2013 driver's cup holder?

So, has anyone got a solution? Has anyone tried mounting the driver's cup holder (that awkward leather thing supplied by MBUSA) in a 2013 G-Class? After living in the US for 8 years, I can't do without a cupholder in my G63.

folds up flat when closed.. bolt onto any flat vertical surface (maybe somewhere on door panel). Is the previous netted cup holder still on the passenger side of g63? that folded down.... you can order another and put on drivers side maybe.

I'm sure your'e spot-on...they will do something. I, myself, don't really miss this armest cupholder, I find it plenty easy to use the basket holder on the passenger side and/or simply reach behind me to grab a beverage from the rear double cupholder. Not ideal, but works for me.
