Illuminated door sills inverter
Hello, bought a G where none of the sills is working.
If i messure the cable under the sill where its connected i got 12v.
Think its the famous el inverter that is gone bad.
So where are those located? did screw done panels on both sides (under the steering wheel, and under the glove box) but did not find them..
Thanks
David

I know the rear inverters are located at the bottom side pillars tucked underneath the seat belt base. Respectively on either side.
The pillars are where the rear door hinges are attached to.
You will need to remove all pillar related items such as the front seat belt assembly. Then pry the cover off they are held with heavy duty clips.
The front ones I think may be in the passenger front underneath the glove box the lower cover should come out pretty easy.
Hope this helps

Do you mean the illuminated door sills?
Afaik the inverters are located directly under the sills.
The new AMG Door Sills do not use inverters. They have the new LED technics installed which works directly without inverters in all G-Class models.
