Where can you buy AMG wheels? (specifically the new G63 wheels)

Does anyone know which vendor sells the G63 wheels. Seems impossible to buy except through Mercedes dealers.

Thanks.

Keep an eye on the forums. Someone will sell a set of take offs eventually. There was one set that sold for dirt cheap here a few months ago.

Thanks for the lead. I have contacted them.

It just seem odd aftermarket wheel companies carry AMG wheels in the US, only via Mercedes dealers. Have to get it from Europe.

I do not think it is unusual, since G-Class is an external production (produced by Magna Steyr in Austria). Thus all suppliers are located next to them in Europe. Furthermore AMG is not as exclusive as e.g. BRABUS, but it is still a tuning studio located in Germany (Affalterbach). So it is obvious to get AMG stuff from Europe. As I heard they want to keep the new G-Class AMG more exclusive. Thus less parts for resellers.

The biggest AMG shop was opened in China last year. Moreover Daimler is building an incredibly big plant in China for manufacturing their cars locally. In the near future you will be able to get AMG stuff from China too I think.

BUT still not the G-Class parts. It is still an exclusive production.

Given the US is the biggest AMG car market in the world, its still very weird AMG products are hard to get from tuners or aftermarket specialty shops in the US. You will have no problem getting BMW M parts and porsche parts from so many aftermarket shops in the US.

Good to know. I have to say, that AMG is better than any BMW M and Porsche )). But it seems weird, that you cannot buy AMG parts from resellers in US since the market is truly big. I have to admit, that it is also not that easy to get AMG parts from resellers from europe!

I think I know part of the issue. If I purchased the AMG front brake kit from Mercteil, it is $3,400, converted to USD. Not cheap, but not nuts. That is about $1,000 less than the the Brembo setup and 1/2 the price of the Brabus setup. Given my experience with European anything, heavily imported items from Europe always seem to be cheaper in the USA. Lower taxes, volume, duties, lower market up, whatever the case. Assuming that applies here, these brakes might sell for $2,500, certainly detracting from the exclusivity of the the AMG brand.. No idea what these might cost at a dealer, but seems odd.

BTW, anyone know if these will fit a 2009 G550 with 18" wheels? The AMG ones.

thank you

I see that AMG sells g wagon wheels that are 18''s. Are these just for people who want to upgrade, not original on G55's. It is odd, there are three sets of 18'' amg G55 rims on ebay right now and no 19's.

G55 AMG Rims model year 2003-2008 were 18"

G55 AMG Rims model year 2009-2011 were 19"

G63 AMG rims model year 2013 are 20"

So it's not surprising you would find a bunch of 18" AMGs for sale because many people who have G55's model year 2003-2008 are going for the more current look of the 19" or 20" rims. To each his/her own I guess. I personally like the 18" AMG ones that came stock on mine.

They look great, and are also my favorite wheels for the G. Which vendor did you end up purchasing from? Good experience?

BTW: I just figured out that my black/ black Brabus set won't clear my brakes, so if anyone knows anyone who needs a great set of wheels for a 55, let me know.

I just recently purchased a brand new 2014 G63 AMG which is currently being shipped to Southern California . Upon arrival the wheels will be removed and new custom wheels will be put on immediately . I'm selling the the original wheels and tires for $4,400.
Why do you want the black 5 spoke wheels? In my opinion, the two tone double spoke wheels are more desirable and distinguish the 63 from the 55. They retail from the dealer for $2,800 each rim without tires... That's over $12,400 with tires.
If you want, you can paint those black and they will look great but personally, I would keep them two tone.
Let me know what you offer and I will work with you! Hope to hear from you soon.

I have a matte black truck (w/ tinted windows) and it has the silver ones - it just doesn't look right with the matte paint to me, so really looking for the matte black.

I would be willing to give you $3,500, as I would have to get them unmounted, powdercoated and re-mounted. I understand that's a bit low, but short of that, I will probably wait for a black set - thanks
.

Black G63 Wheels

I have a set of flawless 20" black OEM G63 wheels with tires. They came off for 23" ADVs. I live in Delray Beach, FL. If anyone is interested let me know and give me an offer, of course taking into account the retail price of these wheels.

I would be interested if you are willing to ship overseas. I need some for my 2005 G55.

The only non-MB wheels I would accept are BRABUS wheels. Otherwise you should not drive a Mercedes-Benz. Maybe a Toyota or something similar...

......c'mon! Replica wheels are just fine. If you personally won't use them, that's cool for you. But your statement about Mercedes vs Toyota is in poor taste. If you feel replica wheels are unsafe and you are concerned for the buyer, surely the replicas will be just as unsafe on a Toyota as they would be on a Mercedes.
