I want obsidian, magnetite or platinum black with carbon or black piano trim(can come in burl wood but I would replace it right away with carbon) and has to have exclusive leather package. My dealer is on a look out for one I want and if something pops out before and they can get it they will I also would appreciate if someone pointed me to one with options I want as I'm sure my dealer won't be looking for it too often as one is on order.
Thanx to all

2013 G63 AMG
2013 G63 AMG
I bought a 2013 G63 AMG last July but have to relocate abroad for work. I love the truck and am not happy about having to sell it.
Exterior is Obsidian black and the interior is an upgraded black leather with optional equipment and value added packages - R10 20 in five twin spoke wheels, ZT1 Piano Lacquer Black trim Steering Wheel and PA6 Leather Designo Exclusive Package (diamond pattern stitching). This cost me an additional $4950.
I also purchased a 5-year 50,000 miles prepaid maintenance (STAR MNT50K PPMS-5YR) for an additional US $1799
Current mileage is under 5000 and it's in mint condition (parked in a garage in Brooklyn, NY).
Let me know if you are interested in purchasing it.
Cheers,
d

Same!!!
Cannot believe this is happening to me. I just got a 2014 g63 a little over 2 months ago. Car's been in the shop several times already. Transmission issues that they couldn't pin point until my car just went nuts on me on the road the other day. Now they say they have to replace the entire electronic control panel because it blew out then go forward with testing out the transmission. Car is brand new.
Funny thing is I had a g550 I bought brand new in 2012 that had a fuel line problem the second day I had it (63 miles on the car, I wanted to cry). Sat in the shop for 3 months due to part manufacturing delay then got bought back by Mercedes.
I bought another g550 that same year and that car was awesome, never gave me any issues. I decided to upgrade to this 2014 g63 now and it's a nightmare. I feel like Mercedes needs to stop upgrading their c classes and e classes and focus on the really expensive vehicles and the high end clientele they being or I should say will stop bringing with the amount of bs that's happening to these cars.
I think this car will be a buy back... Again. I think I'll be switching to a Rover after this.

I am having problems with my 2013 G63 as well except our issues are different. The vehicle has been in the shop for minor issues to major transmission work. First the outside temp was not reading properly, the console display unit periodically doesn't work, windshield wipers malfunctioned, steering stabilizer went out & now the torque converter is needing replaced. I have owned the vehicle for 7 months & it has been worked on by the dealership for more than 2 months. The last repair took 26 days. MBUSA agreed to buy the vehicle back. The paperwork was started today & it can take 4 weeks before the buy back takes place.

Dealer ordered new LCD screen will be here on Wednesday so that's when I will go and wait to heave it replaced or properly connected as this one turns on from time to time when I hit a bump. I'm dropping the car off at detailers domain on Monday to have a new car prep with opti coat and some clear bra installed.

'22 Alpina B7,'21 G63 Renntech obviously (wife), Wrangler(kids)
My wife put 17k miles on her G63, not one, even a small one, problem in 1.5 year of ownership.
Has 4k miles on her LWB Autobiography now, have not seen dealer since delivery either.
Must be lucky.....

I got rid of my G63 after 14 months.
Nothing but little problem after little problem. Truck was always at the dealer
I'm leasing a Jeep Grand Cherokee until my S63 Coupe arrives in 2 months.
The grand cherokee is a breath of fresh air compared to the G class.
The G63 is a beautiful truck, but i won't be getting one until they do a major overhaul on it, and not just aesthetics, like the current G63.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to my S63 Coupe.

Really they bought your G63 back,I thought they were reinstalling the Brabus parts to find the issue. I guess I missed reading that part of using the "lemon law" getting a new 63.

It wasn't lemoned, The dealer bought back the car and sold it to some exporter. I'm already driving my new 2014 G63 that I got as a replacement. This time I got carbon trim with red leather inserts on the exclusive leather package. Didn't even let the dealer prepare the car for me and I pick it up still with all the plastic that it comes with from factory and bright the car straight to Phil at detailers domain to do the full new car prep with clear bra and tints. Already put on ADV1 wheels and waiting on carbon steering wheel from MA Carbon.
Now the bad!!! It's a month old with 600 miles on it and since new the navi screen went and had to be replaced and last week they replaced fuel module or the pump as the car kept giving me the engine light and shutting down while driving
Here is a little cell picture, car is dirty as it was the day I went to fabspeed to get the ADV wheels put on so forgive me for it

You would think after 30 years the kinks would have been worked out.
I know MB electronics aren't known to be the best..
BTW what kind of MPG do people see on the highway at say 85-90 MPH in a G63?

Interested in MPG doesn't always equate to "worried".
More than anything I'd like to know how far I could go on a tank between refills driving 90MPH on the highway. Stopping for gas all the time could get annoying.
It's what a ~25 gallon tank, so without cutting it too close to reserve fill up around 22 gallons. 90 MPH in G63 is what 11 MPG? 242 miles between pumps! 30+ gallon tank would be nice...
My Lotustalk name is Callsign_Vega

The G is not actually bult by Mercedes... I wonder if this has anything to do with the hit or miss reliability. Probably.
The other take-away is that any kinds of mods put you at risk of issues.
I would never mod a car unless it's out of warranty.
(I spent 15 years as an automotive engineer working in Japan and the U.S., for Toyota, and others.). No one can match Toyota for reliability, but then their cars are boring to drive, not well designed aesthetically, and the head office Serivce is terrible (and this is for lexus).
So the last take-away is the risk of problems with the G is the price to pay for how impressive it is!
