nice upgrade, and i was wondering how much is for the upgrade for 2002 G500 to this? please email: qisun8187@gmail.com
Thanks!
on vehicles, it appears to me that upgrading to stainless steel brake lines should be #1 brake mod. ss lines make a huge difference in feel and performance. drilled and slotted rotors make a huge difference in aggressive -much less brake fade. personally, i find that going to ss brake lines and drilled/slotted rotors dramatically improved braking performance on vehicles that i found it unnecessary to upgrade to larger calipers unless using vehicle on the track.
and it's not just about calipers. it's about the size of the pistons in the calipers. inevitably, going to larger calipers requires different size master cylinders. running larger calipers with same size master as previous/smaller caliper will result in spongy feel and longer throw. it also seems to require more frequent brake bleeds.
it seems that some drivers may just be installing the larger calipers from appearance and not for braking performance and safety. otherwise, how could one tolerate spongy brake feel and additional effort of longer throw with larger calipers. that's not safe and reduces braking performance. because of how i drive/ride, i upgrade brakes on all vehicles/motorcycles. if vehicle lacks ss brake lines, the first brake performance upgrade is ss brake lines..
