...of these moronic tugs from people desperately trying to prove their vehicle is better than the other guy's do I need to suffer ? The net is full of them, including 30 year old Defenders pulling away 400 horse Powerstroke diesels. It's all bull, and may be useful in playground arguments by 11 year olds, but not to adults.

I am totally blown away with the video. So much German engineering into that 4x4 and it's prowess of it. Well as you stated about the Defender will haul away Powerstroke diesel, you would be correct since they are designed to be real off roader, got to remember the Range Rover wasn't intended for real off road, but a Luxury 4x4 but not really intended for off roading, since very few people would do. The G wagon is intended for real off roading and a lot of military in European country uses the G wagon which been around for quite a long time.

These are what are these days called 'alternative facts'. Tip of the day : look at the wading depth of an L405. Incidentally statements like 'it is not intended for offloading since very few people do' is not really sound reasoning by any standard.
Granted, the G does come with 3 locking diffs as standard, where with the Range you'd have to configure it with the rear and you can't even get a front.
