Front license plate holder 2007 G55 AMG
Hi All, just moved to NY where they require you to have a front license plate. What holder/brackets do you recommend? I was not sure where to go and what the right solution is. MB said they would need to drill holes into the front bumper which does not make sense to me as it has the black plugs where I would have thought the frame plate and holder would go into. Stock plate bracket does utilize those holes, but it's a pain to install it from below, and the mount is expensive.
I'm in the same boat as you. I'll be looking for some brackets to mount it to the tubing on my grille guard.

Thanks! I finally got a hold of the MB gent from NYC location. The 2007 AMG G55 did come with a front bracket and plate frame. Since I had it in CA I did something with it lol, that is lost it. So, I ordered one from the parts dept so that I can see what it looks like and will pick it up and the frame holder tomorrow. The bracket and frame comes in at around $250 ex installation. However, if you google plate holder and frame for the 07 G55 you can buy it for $30-$40 bucks, spend a bit more for an install at a local shop if you have to it! Otherwise agree get the ties and place it up on the grill. Thank you!
