Brabus G 65 / G V12 610HP-740LbsTq
Hey Brabus has just came out with the G V12 Which is shared in the SL600,CL600,S600. Buts its Tuned to 610hp with 740 Torque. Brabus Claims 0-60 in just 5.3 and 1/4 mile at 13.1 which is insane for such SUV.
G55 Kompresser (479HP) Vs. Brabus G V12 Twin-Turbo (610HP)
Price is around 100k for Kompresser and Brabus is asking 200k not right amounts but near close or more Ive been trying to get info if anyone knows please reply.

Brabus GV12 is hand made and use the lastest technologies to fit a V12 in a 463. You can say that it really expensive but like the member above has said, there are the only one who can do that.

.......Don't mean to get drawn into debate about whether brabus is better or not. But I wanted to say that in the world of car tunning, there really isn't anything like "they are the only ones that can do that." You can pretty much do anything.......it just depends on if you have the cash. This is not some type of top secret nuclear technology. Toyota can build a twin turbo V12, but it is probably not cost effective for their client base. Lingenfelter has been pumping out twin turbo corvettes with over 700HP for years. And corvette is a small car compared to the W463. Building a GV12 is not something that only brabus knows how to do, rather it is something that only brabus currently chooses to do.

you don't pay for 'the fact that they can do it', you pay for the name Brabus.
but, the only way brabus became such a large and succesfull company, is because they were one of the best (if not the best) tuning company for mercedes-benz in it's time.
offcourse you can do EVERYTHING when you have money, but to fit a 6.3 liter twin turbo V12 into a 463 chassis AND to let the configuration work properly... THAT needs some really really good skills. I must say I honestly doubt if there was a tuning company wich could to the job beter, or even as good as Brabus (perhaps AMG).

I believe that if AMG wants to, it would compete with brabus on higher levels.
Brabus is amazing and its tuning is as you all said one the best if not THE. The thing is, the benz loses more of its character when it is brabusIZED than when it is an AMG, I know benz owns AMG, but even before, it is more POWER, yet still c l a s s y...
with brabus, it looks more like a POWER CAR than a benz.
I still love the Gv12.

good point Modeer.
I have also slightly preferred AMG over Brabus, because of what you said.
but today they are SO close to each other.
btw, AMG was bought by MB in '94, so before then AMG and Brabus were actually also very 'competitive'.

Imagine the competition if AMG wasn't owned by MB. I see your point and thanks for the info...
btw, does anyone know what the availability of the old G would be after introducing the new G? if, like when the 2nd Range Rover was released...they still produced the old one as a "classic" ...the same thing with the defender, the old G would be produced on order or produced in much less quantities ?

..........this is less fast than the Kleemann G55K and marginally faster than the AMG G55K.

I remember in the 1980s, Brabus having a 190E with a 560SEL engine and afew other goodies.
I don't remember how much it was exactly, but it cost more then an actual 560SEL! It was STILL a 190E! no leg room, etc.
mind you, take a G500, rebuild the engine, add 2 turbos - with enough boost - you will outrun the Brabus v12.
