Hello from chicago. I came here to find out info on Mercedes transmission. I recently acquired 2008 Mercedes G55 with blown motor. I replaced the motor took it out for the first spin. As far as engine it runs good only one code for secondary air injection. But transmission under harder acceleration feels like slipping especially around 20mph if u floor It rpms just go up, when rpms go down and drive normally it shifts up normally and accelerates as it should. After first drive p0730 code incorrect gear ratio code. I want to know what’s the first step to do before taking it to transmission shop. Btw it has 79k miles.
