2017 G63 - strange steering noise at standstill + oil leak - help
Hi all
Just noticed a strange noise coming from the front axle / steering when the car is static - moving the steering whee in either direction, you can hear it clearly in the attached file when I move the steering wheel just a bit - the wheels remain straight, so minimal angle. Came out of nowhere, car serviced every year as per schedule. Drives normally, too - not feeling any change to steering input required.
At the same time, I noticed what looks like oil dripping and hitting the exhaust manifold and then down on the frame. This is the passenger side - the vehicle is RHD.
Could not see from the engine bay where oil could be coming from. Will get a camera and try to have a look later today when the car is cold.
Would very much appreciate your guidance as to what could cause these two issues before I have to go to the dealer.
Did you end up going to the dealer and getting this resolved? if so, what did they say and how much did it cost? ive noticed the exact same issue on my car
