Does the G55K come with a Spare Tire Cover with:
-a benz logo, or
-a benz logo and the word "Mercedes-Benz", or
-an AMG logo?
if not, is an AMG logo orderable?
thanks,
Faisal

Spare Tire Cover Baege
I am told that the '05 G's are the first where the black and silver plastic insert on the tire cover has been changed from saying Mercedes Benz, along with the star, to simply the star. So I ordered a replacement badge using the Vin number from my former '02 G500 and it arrived as before, including the name.
The replacement comes with a peel off protector for the adhesive backing. Using a stiff putty knife and a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, on the old badge, I carefully lifted the old logo off and replaced it. It takes some hard "pulling" but will come off.
While the cost of the replacement was a ridiculous $160 it looks much better and identifies the vehicle from the back. The part number is 463-898-05-11.
