In recent years, MB vehicles have been equipped with a factory upgrade option called the Air Balance package. This package consists of two parts: the "In-Car Negative Ion System," which increases negative oxygen ions and purifies the cabin air, and the "Fragrance System" featured in the image. Typically, upgrading to the Air Balance package requires upgrading both of these components together. However, some vehicles, like the AMG G63, come from factory with only the in-car negative ion system and require later installation and upgrade of the latter.
A complete interior fragrance system includes a 15ml bottle of Mercedes-Benz perfume, a scent diffuser, a hose, wiring, etc. After the upgrade, the system needs to be activated using the original manufacturer's computer equipment, allowing the driver to adjust the fragrance intensity through the screen's menu options. Typically, there are four settings available: high, medium, low, and of course, off. Besides purifying the air, the complete original Air Balance package also emits a subtle and delightful fragrance.
