1973 450 sl opinions/tips needed

My other half fell in love with a 1973 450sl 80k black/black both tops chromies
She got he fever a yr ago so we looked at 74..needed a few things but i wasnt ready for what a horrid driving car it was. 1965 Mustang bad

She got turned off also but I know if any car is gone through they can drive real well.
(My 67 in sig feels stable up to 140)

Looks very very clean I mean super nice
Supposedly everything works

Waiting for a call back to see it

Is asking quite a bit, over 13k

I know you get what you pay for and everybody with an old car thinks its gold

What are the general problem parts with these? Meaning to look for?
Are parts available aftermarket, repopped or a forum/ebay only thing?
Come from a background of musclecars and Vettes, I am not a fan of the issues with most IRS. Help me out here I do NOT want another headache

She fell in love with the pics though and has to drive it at least
(btw having a woman thats into cars is cool...however they also want to own them too!)
What should be a realistic sales price range on these?
Seems like they are all over the map. Only browsed here for a minute but seems like theres not much interest in older Benzs. Could work in our favor?

So much for that cheap e320 huh?

More info the better thanks in advance.
At least I wont have to smog it here in Kommiefornia
