1970 280SL - need reliable repair shop

I have just joined MBWorld and have an immediate need.

I live in Louisville, KY and the rear end of my 1970 280SL is making noise when accelerating over 45 MPH. When I left off gas or travel at slower speeds, I don't experience the issue. I'm looking for someone who has had similar issue or someone who knows a reliable MB repair shop in the area. Preferably someone who only works on older models.

Thanks for your help.

Expect it is related to the pinion gear in the rear. You should be able to take it to repair shop , since this is a common part on all rear drive cars, and they should be able to at least give you a diagnoses . I would find a foreign repair shop and have them at least tell you what they think it is.
