Just checking in. I've been working off and on this car for about 2 year. I knew nothing about it but thought it would be a nice challenge. It turned out to be a challenge. Have it finally running nicely after having the Carb "restored" and replacing the water pump, tires, motor mounts and fuel pump.
Drove it out of the garage in onto the driveway when I decided to put it back because of the coming weather but it wouldn't go into reverse. I quickly found out that the plastic pieces on the shift linkages disintegrated from age. Part have been ordered and on their way of Deutschland. Should be here by the end of the week.
