O.K guy's. How well does 6psd on the c230K handle power shifting? I am use to power shifting at the track with my Mustang but haven't tried it with the benz yet. How well would the tranny hold up on this car power shifting?? My car is in the garage for winter now, but when it comes out this spring i am taking it to the track to see what it can do.
So i hope the tranny is strong enough.

Yeah, I hope your transmission is strong enough too. I also hope you're sitting down when your Mercedes dealer tells you that the damage you inflicted is not covered by warranty due to your excessive abuse. Think they won't be able to tell? I can tell, and so can most any technician that has seen tranny failures on the C230 6-speed. Good luck!

Without lifting..... the clutch? the accelerator?
I've been driving standard all my life and never heard of this term before.

Sorry, I was trying to be poetic at the expense of clarity. Originally posted by Flashman

Power shifting is shifting without lifting the throttle (accelerator). Many years ago I ruined several clutches and transmissions power shifting my '54 Ford.Super Member
Why? There is no clear performance gain if you shift fast. A fast clean shift usually results in RPM drop exactly to where the next gear needs it best.
