Might be taking a long trip.....

I might be flying back to pick up my car..

I purchased a 1990 560SEC on Ebay.
It is located in Indidana, and I am in Southern California.

The transport companies are so slow to get you a truck, and I am on vacation right now.
So, I thought I might fly back to South Bend, Indiana and drive the car out to Los Angeles, California.

The route I have been looking at is taking I-80 West to I-76 West to I-70 West.

This will take me through the following states:
Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and of course....California.
It's around 2100 miles.

Has anyone taken this route lately ?

Anything interesting to see, or anything I should be aware of ?

thanks,
Kevin

After you get to the end of I 70 take route 50 between Delta UT and Fallon NV. Loneliest road in the states. Couple of 100 miles in between gas stations and god help you if you break down, especially in a Mercedes. But a neat drive.

You'll have a great time no matter what route you take. We just purchased ours in Georgia and drove it back to Northern Cal. If you have the time, drive some back roads, don't just take the main highways, see a little of America.

Enjoy your trip.
