NYT: MB Faces Justice Dept. Inquiry

Hmmm.
...a little bit of "everybody else is doing it...." most likely.
Not far-off from what initial inquiries turned-up when I began
researching the importation of an MB via Canada. Several dealers would openly state, "we are not allowed to sell to a party we know is going to export to the states."
and
"No MB dealership would offer you warranty maintenance coverage if you return to the States with one of our Canadian MBs." -- a BIG no-no. NAFTA => Discrimination ==> lawsuit

Thanks for the PM...found the link. I do remember reading this article on the NYT website. I wonder if things like this will help buyers...especially repeat buyers if you confront the dealers? Oh well...thanks....
