Upgrading to wood steering wheel
I have a 2001 CLK (W208). I am thinking of removing the stock leather steering wheel and installing an OEM wood steering wheel.
Has anyone done this? How much do you think the dealer will charge for just installing the wood steering wheel?
I am thinking of just letting an authorzed MB dealer do the installation instead of letting an independent mechanic do the job, because I am very afraid that if the job was not done right, the airbag might not deploy one day when I really need it. How likely do you think this is?
I really don't like to mess with factory installed parts, especially the airbag.

also one can add a LEATHER air bag if needed..
The Install Takes five min max..Remove the air bag..remove the steering wheel
reinstall in reverse order...Steve can Install it if needed
