CAN'T FIT IN SL500 COMFORTABLY!! which other benz?
Now looking at clk430 or 55amg...was leaning toward amg but from the little i have read so far... a bit scared of 55 amg....soon as I saw "air" in specs for suspension I backed off....been there done that with air suspension issues...must cost a fortune to fix....given above...which benz would you advise? This is basicallyto be a low mileage sunday car(2-3 k) a year) plan on keeping and want to hold value and have fun in the meantime
thanks in advance
Although Im not big, I sat in the new S600 last month and there seemed like there was plenty of room. The higher quality nappa leather in the 600 feels luxurious and comfortable. Theres also lots of room in the back too, if you need it. You can get the higher quality leather as an option for the S550 as well
6 ft 250
I fit just right in my SL55.
6 5" Thats a bit tight for the SL
But for the BIG GUY. Go for the CL.
My CL500 is big enough for a 6 5" guy
As far as being afraid of the "Air Suspension".
Thats what warranty is for. Yes my CL ate a ABC Pump.
It was covered. Go get a CL55 and enjoy.
Kick a** in luxury

The CL would, far and away, be my first choice.
My E is very comfortable and a friend has the 55 and is love. But, as mentioned, the S class is still like sitting in your living room.
There's a bit differerence between 6'1" and 6'5", but my 129 SL is very comfortable. More room IMO than the current.
Haven't been in one, but the BMW 645 is great looking and I would think comfortable for a larger man.
Tried sitting in a Gallarado a couple of weeks ago. After stuggling with the entry sill, I couldn't even get past the side supports of the seat. Very depressing...

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
In general, a sedan will have a bit more headroom than a coupe or roadster. If you order the car without a sunroof (sedan or coupe), that will increase your headroom another 1 1/2 to 2 inches.
I drive a C Class without a sunroof, and it has plenty of headroom and legroom for me. The E Class is about the same in the front seats, and the old S Class seems slightly larger up front (I don't know about the new series).
This still doesn't solve the convertible problem.
I have always heard Mercedes is one of the better cars for big people. I concur, but not all models are the same.
