Here you go, a self ectracting zip file. Just extract the files in to your
C:\windows\system32 directory and then select like you would any other SS. Click Here MB Star SS

Looks like this :

That install process does not seem to work in XP-Pro. Any ideas?

I have XP Pro too, so I'm asking the same question. I didn't try it Jayhawk, thanks for the tip.

Yes! Just rename the original file--I think it was "DBAG_?.scr"--to "ssmercedes.scr" and it works!! Hope that helps everyone. If still unclear, let me know.

BTW: The renaming applies to the .scr file in this self-extracting .zip file above, called "MB Star SS"

I don't understand how to rename the file. If it is self-extracting, doesn't it find the best place for it to be on our systems? If this is in the C:/windows folder somewhere, where do I find it amongst that maze of stuff?

Thanks,
M

No. Go ahead and let the file self-extract to your System32 directory or wherever you want, but once the two files (.scr and .avi) are in the System32 folder, then right-click on the .scr file and click Rename, and type in "ssmercedes.scr".

OK, my mistake. Earlier, I didn't see any scr files in the System32 folder, but now I see that there are indeed some in there.

That sounds like the logical place to put these two, it's just that I am very cautious about putting anything into the Windows master folder without knowing exactly what I'm doing. Feel free to call me "PC compromized".

It is good to be careful about what you put into any system folder. But I think this is one that works and is worth it. Let us know if you have any problems.
