c280 Central Locking

After boosting my c280 I can activate the central locking to lock the doors with the key at the Driver, Passenger and trunk locations. However, I cannot unlock all doors with central locking. Here's the fun part. With all the doors locked. I open the trunk with the key. I pull the power from the vacuum pump in the truck and quickly replace it (1 sec) and then the central locking activates and unlocks all the doors. I replaced the vacuum pump and get the same problem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated.

check the fuses.. If I remember correctly, I ran into a similar problem a while back and it was a blown fuse in the trunk for something to do with the central locking.

Angry c280 Central Locking

Thanks, but the fuses all seem good. Are there any other components that may have been damaged when jump-starting.

there shouldn't be any damaged components unless for some reason you couldn't read and hooked up the jumper cables backwards. If that happened then you might have other problems.

So my wife used a jumper box and thought red went to black and vice versa. (Gotta love her lol)... So now I have no blinkers at all, No clicking and no lights anywhere. Also currently have no lock control for the trunk on the driver door and the key fob(s). I checked every fuse by pulling them out individually. And to top it off No left or right side brake light, but I do have a 3rd brake light working... Car is a 2006 E350 not 4matichas a primary and auxiliary battery Thank you in advance, Mike Wood

Which class vehicle are you referring to?
You have 2 listed in your user cp.

did you check ALL fuse boxes interior, fore and aft (presuming you have a fuse box there) ?

If system was shorted as described, then either your fuses/relays are toasted or the circuit is broken elsewhere.
Since ALL your fuses are all intact as you checked, then the only other possibility is the circuit or relays.

How did you check/test your relays?
In the fuse boxes, for each fuse location, did you use a test light to test the circuits ?
