Why wouldn't you want to drive the C30 CDI?

40mpg, good handling, awesome styling, and rippin' accelleration? Where do I sign up.

well, because it's a diesel:
1. pollution (afaik, illegal in california)
2. fuel stations harder to find

Those excuses are so lame! :p The pollution argument is currently correct, but as soon as low-sulfur diesel is introduced it will easily pass emmissions standards.

And about the fuel stations, diesel is not hard to find around Atlanta and if you get 40 mpg, how often do you need to fill up?

i'm going to need a source for that. i'd find it very odd that the taillights are xenons. LEDs sure, but xenons? why?

my main objection though, is an aesthetic one. i just don't like the newly designed thin stripes on the taillights. the older one had 2 thicker white stripes which to me, looked pretty good.

but it's not a huge objection. given a cl, i'd not refuse it! i just don't like the rears of mbs in general. even the new SL which i NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!

Xenons for you to see the brakelights better. And as for the source, I actually work for Mercedes Benz.

well, i don't want to make it a big deal... but i need more confirmation than that.

i don't see an advantage of using hids for the rear lights. in fact, i only see disadvantages. i do see many advantages of using LEDs (like the new SL).

I agree with young. Doesn't it take a second or so for HIDs to get bright? How would that work as a brake light?
