Europeans vote Mercedes-Benz as the most trustworthy automobile brand!
- Reader’s Digest survey votes Mercedes-Benz the "Most Trusted Brand" in the automobile product category
- Two thirds give best marks in the quality and brand image categories
As part of a representative survey, the European readers of Reader’s Digest were asked about the brands which they spontaneously placed the most trust in. Approximately 38,000 readers from 18 European countries- of which some 5,000 were from Germany - gave their written evaluation of brands across 30 product categories, which they had the most confidence in. The factors of quality, value for money, image and knowledge of customer requirements were evaluated.
Mercedes-Benz got the best marks from two thirds of the readers in the quality category as well as when it came to assessing the brand image. "The trust people place in the Mercedes-Benz brand is our most valuable asset," Dr. Joachim Schmidt, member of the Divisional Board of Management for Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars & smart Sales and Marketing, emphasized the significance of brand strategy in the DaimlerChrysler Group. "How customers judge us is especially important to us since they are the best ambassadors for our brand. Because Mercedes-Benz did so well in this study shows that we are succeeding even in an environment of ever-increasing competition in proving the worth of our excellent brand position above all in the areas of quality and sustained value."
