The E55 front looks to froggish, and the rear too 'narrow' in comparison to the front. The current generation E55 is a perfect sleeper.

I'll stick with the SL55, thank you.

Yeah, neither do i. Are you sure they are actual paddle shifters??? Or are they just buttons on the steering wheel. I hope they are paddles behind the steering wheel, that would be great.

The new SL500/SL55 have the paddles behind the steering wheel, and NO, it is not a sequential shifter. It is basically the touchshift/speed**** found in current mercedes, but relocated on the steering column.

Its just for looks, but basically useless.

They are not paddles - it's big buttons on the backside of the steering wheel itself.

I think the confusion is that most people think of the Ferrari / Aston / F1 style paddles as paddles, and what the SL55 / E55 have are 'buttons' more than paddles.

But in the 'left side' interior shot, you can see the grey button in contrast to the black column.

Dan is right, MB doesn't have paddles on its lineup.

Hey Dan, did you get the email I sent you about Hong Kong??
