1M, F550M, F550B, F40, S600, 365GTC, DBSx2, etc.
The E55 front looks to froggish, and the rear too 'narrow' in comparison to the front. The current generation E55 is a perfect sleeper.
I'll stick with the SL55, thank you.

Yeah, neither do i. Are you sure they are actual paddle shifters??? Or are they just buttons on the steering wheel. I hope they are paddles behind the steering wheel, that would be great.

The new SL500/SL55 have the paddles behind the steering wheel, and NO, it is not a sequential shifter. It is basically the touchshift/speed**** found in current mercedes, but relocated on the steering column.
Its just for looks, but basically useless.

They are not paddles - it's big buttons on the backside of the steering wheel itself.
I think the confusion is that most people think of the Ferrari / Aston / F1 style paddles as paddles, and what the SL55 / E55 have are 'buttons' more than paddles.
But in the 'left side' interior shot, you can see the grey button in contrast to the black column.
