Thumbs down Whats the loaner car that they have at your local MB dealer?

I was just wondering because when ever i have my MB serviced there they give me a 2000-2001 Honda accord. I think its kinda odd for a MB dealership giving you a honda for loaner.

Wondering what they give you for a loaner at your MB dealer?

Loaners

At Lakeview, on Long Island, I've had an ML and a C. They also have both SLK and E class loaners but I've never had either. If I ever do get an SLK it will probably be the coldest day of the year. Despite the fact that Long Island has more than its share of Mercedes dealers not all give Mercedes loaners. In fact some are adopting a policy wherein you only get a loaner if you bought your car from them.

Our loaners are ML320s, C230 Kompressors (202), and E320s. I don't know why everybody complains so much if their loaner isn't a Mercedes. Who cares? You're not paying for the car, you're not buying it. You're just driving it for a day or two.

ML
An Appreciation

We get Camry's here and that's only because the dealer also sells Toyotas. As a matter of fact, as I was picking up my E430 today (they replaced the fuel sending unit), a salesman approached me and asked if I did get a loaner. I said it was offered but prefered to drive my Pathfinder (4+" of snow here overnight). Said to call in ahead next time, he'll have a ML for me. Thought that was nice and I would like MB to note that the dealer in smalltown Salisbury, MD is as great as they come. Really nice people.

We get toyota camrys and the dealer doesn't sell toyotas. Strange considering it is the largest MB dealer in the 48 states.

Doesn't really matter what kind of car it is...what really bugs me is the 6 week wait!!!!

Wait

Apparently the long wait is why a lot of dealers in my area are only giving loaners to customers who bought their cars from them. It seems to have cut the average wait down from about 4-6 weeks to about two weeks.

Every time I take my car in, I get a C-class (W202) as a loaner. I would be quite updet if I was given anything less. Little things like this is why I chose MB.

we get old c, e and ml's. my old acura dealership had an enterprise rental right in the service dept. so we'd get whatever then - like an oldsmobile aurora. it was a good chance for me to try out a car i'd never consider buying.

i think getting a car is great. but if i got a non mb from an mb dealership, i would think it was a little odd. what if they gave me a bmw? that's strange.

a friend who has an audi always gets audi's for his loaners.

2003 SL-500 on order
When my cousin serviced his 97 e-class, he got a 2001 E-320 as a loaner. He liked it a lot so he traded his in for a new one. good sales technique. Fletcher jones.
