Germanfest XXI
On Sunday September 9, 2007, the Minuteman Section of the Mercedes Benz Club of America and the Larz Anderson Auto Museum are pleased to present the 21st annual Germanfest. Brookline, Ma www.mot.org or www.mbca.org/minuteman
Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and will cost $20, which includes entrance into the museum for 2 individuals. All registration will take place on the day of the event. Judging will begin at 11:00 a.m. with "rags down" announced at that time indicating the stop of all cleaning of cars. Cars wishing to enter the field but not to be judged may register for "display only"; registration fee applies. No car will be entered for judging after 11:00 a.m but can be entered as "display only".
Rules for judging in the street class and concourse class are according to Mercedes Benz Club of North America criteria, which focuses on cleanliness and authenticity of the vehicle.
This year we are deleting the daily driver class and replacing it with a Survivor Class. The rules for this class are: Any model Mercedes Benz, in original unrestored condition 25 years of age or older. Must be driven to the event and not bear dealer or repair plates. Judged according to street class rules.
First, second and third place awards are given out in 11 classes and 4 trophies are awarded for the finest and most unusual cars entered. Description of Classes.
Volunteers are appreciated. Please contact John Slamin at 508-880-8441 for further information
