DIY maintenance
When buying an MB must you have it serviced by the dealer to preserve warranty? If I buy new or used with existing MB warranty and say something goes wrong, but I maintained the car myself with genuine MB parts. Do you think MB would give me a problem with that like saying "well this happened bec. u didn't have it maintained by our superior technical experts blah, blah, and therefore u have voided your warranty"? IIRC, as long as you use genuine parts, and follow the procedures outlined in the manual for basic service (oil change, other fluid change), they cannot use that against you.
I've heard MB charges $100 for an oil change - gotta pay to play I guess.
Thanks for any help.
