Warranty Companies that cover '03 V12 CL600
I called mercedes of pembroke pines florida and spoke with a warranty rep. I asked what were the best aftermarket companies for thier CL500/600 cars. I was told the top three are Western General, Continental, and Smart Auto. So I went ahead and got warranty quotes on both vechiles. I had VIN numbers for the 03 CL500 and 600. For Smart Auto,I was quoted $2,200 for a bumper to bumper 4yr/48000 extended on top of the existing mileage (very good deal), 3yr/100,000 for $3,200 and a 4yr/100,000 for $3,700. The price of the V12 only was a only $50.00 more per plan. So add $50.00 to anyone of of those plans for the V12 TT Also to get one of these bumper to bumper plans your car has to has 60,000 miles are less. The next company was Continenetal. They offer only offered the CL500. They offer a 3yr/100,000 bumper to bumper for $2,400 and a 4yr/100,000 for only $2,940. Western general is Mercedes recommended #1 extended warranty company, so they claim. I was quoted 3yr/48,000 for $3,700, 3yr/100,000 for $7,000, and a 4yr/100,000 for $7,600. I am not pulling any numbers out of my ***. Western General is a complete ripoff. You can only go with them if your car was a CPO from Mercedes. I am still leaning towards the CL600 because of 495hp its putting out compared to the 305hp CL500. Now, I am in the process of getting insurance quotes of Geico. I already have a 99 Ford expedition and 2005 bmw 325i under them. I am hoping I can get a low rate for this car.
