If you did not own a Mercedes-Benz, what would you currently be driving?

 

For SUV I would choose the Lexus RX300. My wife will not drive anything other than Mercedes.

im confused why with a few here it seems that if you werent driving your $50K, you would instead be driving a $70K car, if this is the case, why didnt you opt for a larger engine in your benz if you can afford it? just curious....

When the Coupe was bought, I was also cross shopping the Infiniti G35, Jeep Liberty, Audi A4 1.8t, and the BMW 325 xi.

 

I probably would have bought an Acura TL or MDX.

I'd still be driving my 494 HP Impala SS.

 

I had it narrowed down to the 2003 Boxster, 2000 Jaguar SK8, 2002 Corvette convertible or an 2000 M3 convertible when I decided to go for the Benz. All the extras added up to best overall value. Then I decided I didn't want used and couldn't quite afford to lease a new Vette convertible (about $800/month in my area, then another $800 for insurance every month). I went to Porsche and almost EVERYTHING was an option when it was standard on the SLK, then I found out the Porsche was actaully 3 tenths of a second slower!!!! I KNEW I wanted a convertible and there was no changing that. The hardtop and the free routine maintenance really sold me though!!! The day after I even started to CONSIDER the SLK, I went and ordered my 03 But I guess all in all, I'd be driving an 03 Boxster if I didnt go with the SLK. Because I definitely wanted a brand new car....
