to each their own.

if it's something such as a spoiler- i don't mind putting in a little extra work to get it to fit if i save a large amount of money. something like that- i'm buying for the style, not to make my car weight less, go faster, etc....

then again- if you're not the type of person that has the tools/knowledge to mod things to work- replicas aren't for you. you will, in the long run, spend just as much money making the part work correctly, as you would have buying the real thing.
