I recently purchased a warranty from Michael Chase working for the ziegler group. First off Michael was right up front with all that the warranty would not cover. Which was wear and tear items like brakes and rotors and all. I had gotten a quote from easycare(garbage) and it didnt cover most of the
AMG expensive parts struts hard top pump and parts for the top.
Well my top pump just went out. I took it to my mechanic that is a master tech and it was covered. I could have gone to the dealer and it would have been covered as well. Minus my $100 dedct.
My point is Michael Chase's Ziegler product has proved itself to me and there are lots on here that have it and they all swear by it. That was good enough for me.

[NO Mercedes dealerships are allowed to sell MB ELW's to customers who's Factory Warranty already has expired, which is why Lisa sells 3rd-Party Extended Warranties (and also for some people don't want to pay that much for Extended Warranties). Lisa always recommends MB owners INSIDE their Factory Warranty period to purchase genuine MB ELW's... NOT 3rd-Party Warranties (unless you really can't afford a MB ELW).[/quote]
Does anyone know if CPO's count? I just purchased a used '05. The Original factory warranty expired on 7/09. However, mine did come with a 1yr CPO warranty. Am I still eligible to purchase a MB ELW? Or will I have to go the Chrysler route?
Thanks..

i have sent multiple emails to Lisa with no response. anybody know how to get ahold of her?
also i have been told by numerous dealerships that only the ORIGINAL owner can extend warranty. My car warranty expires in Feb 2010 and I would prefer to extend but they say i can only get a warranty through 3rd party. I obviously prefer MB warranty. Can someone please confirm that a 2nd owner CAN in fact extend the factory warranty AS LONG AS they are still within original warranty period???

I'm a bit bummed out by reading that the MB factory warranty isn't as comprehensive as i thought. Makes me consider the Chrysler warranty...

Hi all, I just wanted to thank the forum.
A week or so ago, I helped an elderly relative purchase a 2010 MB350 at a local dealership (beautiful car and I like the navigation and satellite radio a lot, as well as the back up camera, and Iphone connectivity) and my relative was unsure about whether they wanted an extended warranty so we passed on it, in part due to the finance person telling us the 15% penalty kicked in if we did not buy the extended warranty the same day we bought the car, which was a little offensive and did not sound like the way Mercedes Benz would do business.
So, I did a little research and found this thread, and made a few calls to Lisa at Courtesy Motors. Lisa is so nice, and is clearly overwhelmed with calls and emails.
It took me a few tries and emails to get in contact with her, and she was very pleasant to talk to and knows her business. I would buy a car at the dealership she works at (and now I wish we had!) based on Lisa's no nonsense service and explanation of the warranty options. The paperwork is very simple and the price is very fair.
My only regret about the whole experience is that we could not swing a 2 for one E350 deal at my local dealership!!!

Hi, Does anyone actually have the paperwork for the MB factory warranty? I'd like to think it's an exclusionary warranty, but from what people are saying in this tread it's starting to sound like and inclusionary warranty!??! I mean how can it not cover a problem with the fuel filler neck? or not covering door locks and window lifts? WTF? That sounds more like a 3rd party warranty then one administered by MB.

I got a quote from MB dealer for $1700 for 2 yrs added to to my CPO warranty. Sound good? I don't know yet. I plan to get it next week. The saleperson told me that it covers as same as the manufacturer warranty. Zero dollar deductable. Mine is CPO 2007 E350 with 38K miles. Please advice.

I am interested too as we may pull the trigger on a very similar car soon. I believe I was quoted a much higher number.

Update: I emailed Lisa and she prompted responded. You can buy an extension to a CPO warranty, it's best to do it in the first 30 days the prices rises thereafter.

Thanks for the info! I sent an email to Lisa a couple of days ago, and received a very informative reply within about 30 minutes. Ended up buying the car (CPO), and will be faxing the warranty form off to Lisa tomorrow for a 2-year extension of the 12-month CPO warranty -- all at a savings of about 10 percent over what the selling dealer quoted me. Great to be an informed buyer!

It's been 4 days that i emailed her and i am still waiting to hear from her
Heck i even left 2 messages on Micheal's cell phone (Chrysler service contract) and 4 days later i am still waiting..
May be the best way is to just go to the local dealer and sign the contract with them..

I just concluded purchasing a 2 year extension to the CPO warranty on my wife's 2007 E350 from Lisa. She responded quickly to my emails and even called me to confirm information. Much less than the quote I got here, but there is only one dealer. She is very professional.

Do we know where Lisa went...is she with another dealer or not dealing with MB at all?

I never had any luck w/ her. When I reached her, she said she'd call me back - never did. When I left mssgs, the calls were not returned. I don't understand today's business world. So many people try hard to get business, and all it takes is basic courtesy of returning phone calls and doing what you say you're going to do. Surprising, I got CPO MB warranty(MB's phrase is now ELW - extended limited warranty) and great service from my MB dealer's NEW finance mgr. Where did she come come? A Toyota store...isn't it nice not to have people w/ attitudes?

Hi Guys,
So Lisa's no longer at Courtesy Motors. Guess that's why I haven't received a response to my email sent several days ago.
Anyway I went to their MB website http://www.courtesy.mercedesdealer.com/ and sent an email in short stating "I hear your firm offers very aggressive pricing on extended warranty and pre paid maint" leaving my email and contact phone number. Low and behold the next day I received a call from their director of finance. After speaking to him for a while I was able to get pre-paid maint at the price advertised on MBUSA or $805 (Originally he quoted $1230 list) 3ry/30k miles and 7yr /75k for $3100 which has a list price of $3695.
