I have to e at the base hospital by 0645, so I leave my house no later than 0515. No traffic at that time.

On the way home I drive about the same speed. Most AF individuals get off work at 1630, but I am done at 1515. So the troopers are not as active then

Typically 75-80 but if the weather and traffic permits, I'll push it up to 110 or 120 just for fun

There are parts of I95 - or the Alligator - where big numbers can be used. Regardless, I pay attention to my Valentine.

I hear great things about Valentine versus the other brands. But all that is useless if radar is off.

A friend of mine used it in his car last week. It beeps, tells you the band, and the direction. But we noticed that it didn't tell us about a couple of cars that we passed by. That makes me nervous...I don't think I can use it! Might as well drive near the limit...

Nothing is without risk. The Valentine is the most fluent - it's close to putting a bell on the cat.

I see cops in their cars, writing reports, with the radar off. I also see empty cars parked in various areas -- to 'deter' micreants.

How do you have it installed in your car?

I have the receiver mounted as high as possible, at a slight angle. I have a remote mute switch on the stalk and remote display on the dash. I'm looking into the integrated package that displays the Valentine's signals in the central display.

I try to drive within arms length (i.e. 5-10 mph) of the speed limit....for the most part

Unless a worthy opponent is present.....and I'm in Mexico, of course.....

Does flying over a freeway in a Diamond at 120 knots count?

Commuting in Phoenix, you can forget speeding on many freeway stretches. They have photo-radar installed every couple of miles, with more getting ready to go, plus the police sit in between just waiting for somebody "cheating." So I set my cruise at ~70 if it's not crowded, or just go with the flow.

Outside the city, well, that's a different story - especially on the 2-lane desert highways, if they're not too rough...

How fast do you drive on the freeway?

I live in southern Cal. And you are walking unless your going 75-80 mph on the highway. so cal drivers will run right over you...

I try to keep it 9-10 mph over the speed limit, Highway patrol doesnt seem to mind to much at that rate based on my experience.
