Replacement Smart Key
I need a replacement Smart key for my 2004 E320. Can I get the new chrome Smart key? Has anyone used keylessremotesonline.com to get a replacement key or do you recommend going only through the dealer? How much does the dealer charge to program a new Smart key? Thanks!

There is one and only one way to get a new key and that's from a Mercedes dealer. The only kind you can now get are the chrome ones.
Leftover keys from eBay are indeed worthless, as they CANNOT be reprogrammed.
There is some talk of putting old and working guts into the shiney new chrome casing, but it's not easy.
