powder coating is the way to go. got mine for $85 a wheel in glossy black. powder coating unlike paint/gloss withstands rock chips and minor scratches a whooooole lot better. also, when cleaning, powder coating can handle high pressure water than paint. in time paint/gloss will have to be reapplied.
i just went to yellowpages.com and did a local search for powder coating, called and shopped around for the best deal and the fastest turnaround time. got mine back within 24 hrs!!! and if you're going to do your rims, might as well powder coat your calipers too. got all four calipers powder coated in candy blue for $125 out the door. check out my profile for pics of my powder coated stock oem wheels and calipers.
