2003 sl 500 launch edition
3rd party extended warranty
Just bought a 2003 sl 500 for the wife. Never had a mb before and been looking at fright stories on the forums about repair costs.
i got the car for a reasonible price, but it has 78,000 miles and no present warranty.
my quote from Poliseek who handles Mercury Insurance in my area was $2800 - 1 yr, $3840 - 2yr and $5495 - 3yr. this was for the gold protection plan with the silver being almost the same price. i have sent requests Easycare and Paragon Motor Club from posts i saw here. i also saw something about Chrysler Extended Warranty? i plan to talk with my local md dealer to see if they recommend anybody.
any suggestions??
i'm pretty cheap and hate to spend the extra money, but looking at some of the costs, i wonder if i'm not going to enjoy the car for fear it may break down.
