Question re: Garage Door Opener
Cross-post from the W210 and the Audio & Electronics forums.
RE: the integrated garage door opener in the rearview mirror -- anyone know if they're compatible with "rolling code" transmitters? I popped open my garage door opener, and it looks like it's a rolling code system -- a chip, no dip switches.
For various reasons that I won't bother going into here, I haven't gotten a chance to try programming the garage door opener to see if it works...but TIA if you have any information on this.

I got mine to work.
First, you have to sync the opener with your remote. Then, there should be a button on the garage door itself that allows you to add a transmitter. Press that, then in the car again, and BINGO you should be good to go.
My opener is a Craftsman so it's pretty common, but I'm sure it is doable on any system
Good Luck.

Gotcha, thanks. Don't think it's going to work -- just got a new remote for the work garage, was hoping to program the car's remote, but I have no access to the "training" button at the garage at work! Oh well...

Programming Door Opener
I had considerable difficulty programming my SL500.
I called Mercedes and the girl made an excellent point I had not considered! Make sure the battery in your original remote is new!
As soon as I changed it, the SL picked up the rolling code.
She did say it can take up to 90 seconds. It did.
