Talking Either Or... (Automobile edition)

Okay.. summer is here and time to take the top down. Your options lie between a 500-hp beast with a 3.9s 0-60 time or a super lux 5.0 v-8 refined convertible. Gentlemen (and women), start your engines!

Okay.. personally, I'd pick the CL500. Why? The sleek, refined, luxorious craftmanship of this fine vehicle leaves one (well, atleast for me) speachless.

Hope you all stay tuned to this thread as I will post new competitions in the upcoming days....

If performance isn't all that important...then the SL is a no-brainer. But the Viper blows the doors off the SL in almost every if not all performance figures...so it boils down to what you want I guess. If wood & leather isn't important, then go for the Viper.

No contest, I'd go for the SL. I've always been a fan of the SL's, and the R230 just blows me away. Although, I'd pick an SL55 over the 500

i agree, sl55 trumps the sl500, but the 500 is similar in base price to the viper.

yes there is a gap in performance, i'm just wondering for the price which would you choose.

Ahh, yes, still, for the price, I'd go with the SL500. For me, luxury weighs more than performance. Also, since I live in Manhattan, I think the SL500 would provide a better ride on harsh city roads.

SL500 is much more practical and i mean shure it hasn't got 500bhp, but the luxury and fancy stuff in it is alot more usefull. Plus the convertible hardtop!

Benz: not that often that the overkill power would be useful to begin with.
