Which Mercedes model depicts future car designs?
A few friends of mine had an argument today about which Merc model sets the style for the next Merc models which get released.
I said it was the S-Class which gets released first then the rest of the car models such a E-Class and C-Class, A-Class then follows the same design platform as the S-Class.
So basically S-Class sets the tone, and the rest follow, until the next generation S-Class is released ( in exception with a few sports models such as the SLK and SLS etc)
I remember reading something about this, however i can't remember where.
Do you guys agree?

OF course it's the most expensive, i.e. the flagship model. Yes the S-class.
Just don't expect the next 4-cyl engine to first arrive in a S-class.
