what do yall think of this fu--ed up sh-t?
i got a new set of headlights off ebay. the add said free shipping. after receiving them i saw a better set i liked from the same seller and inquired about a exchange. the difference in price was too great for me so i kept and installed the ones i bought.
after i installed them i find out the headlights are defective and shake around when i hit bumps. i try to return them and go elsewhere for a set and the guy tells me hes deducting shipping from my refund. the war begins. i told him i want a full refund and he refuses... free shipping!?!?
we bicker back n fourth for 2 days and bring ebay in and ebay decided in his favor under grounds that i said i didnt want the lights and inquired about a exchange. so he sold me ****ed up lights and he gets to keep all my money cause i inquired about exchanging the lights for another pair before i tried to return them.

I am sorry to say but I am with the seller on this one. I understand the "free shipping" on the way to you, but he obviously had to pay for this. Shipping is not a recoupable expense, and while we may not like it, it is necessary for the few who opt for a refund to take the hit rather than the seller. Did you file a "not as described" case with PayPal? Not sure if that's the same as your communication with eBay but I would think they may issue the refund to you in full.
Having said that, if I were the seller, I would probably have issued a full refund just to keep my buyer happy, regardless of the loss but he is certainly not obliged to since his policy is stated clearly in the listing.

Yea they decided in his favor cause I tried to return them before I found them to be broken. Fu-ked because I sent many videos of the flawed parts and the performance of the lights to the seller and eBay. A lawsuit will cost more then the lights...
