Garage Door Opener Question (Part 2)
Okay, so after asking here about programming the garage door opener, I managed to get it done.
However, I'm having one additional issue: it only works inside -- i.e., I can use it to open the garage door when leaving, but when I come back, it won't open from the outside. Any ideas on how I can boost the transmitting power of the door opener?

i have an 02 ml500 and a 02s55. the ml's transmitter is better than the S's but not by much. the s's is just like yours. i can close the door as i'm backing out but when i pull back up to open it ...it is near worthless. i can **** farther than this thing can transmit!!!
i plan on talking to my local service manager when i get a chance. in the mean time i keep one of my old openers in the car so i can open the door.

Similar issue here but less serious again. The range in my 03 C-class appears to top out at about 10 feet from the door (outside), whereas the old-fashioned opener has a range easily double that. Let us know if you learn anything, S55inPa

I think the problem maybe with the garage door opener not the car. With both my Benzs I can open the garage door 1/3 of the block down the street so that by the time I reach the driveway I can drive directly into the garage without stopping.

Thanks, sounds like some of you have the same issues I'm having. Interestingly, the regular remote works fine; it's when the door is closed and I'm approaching that the integrated remote on the mirror doesn't work.
