I've got a recently written-off C63, a track incident, car runs great, but it's smashed. There's a BEAUTIFUL '58 170 for sale that needs a full resto. I have a VERY good mechanic who builds some stupid projects for me, and I'm thinking of making a hot-rod, but keeping it all MB. My question is, do people do this? Where would I be able to find some resources and information if so.

I think such a project would be ultra cool. If you decide to go ahead please take pics of the process and keep us tuned in. Good luck with the project.
