Hope it is ok to post this question here. If not please advise.

I have purchased a 2001 CL500 and am not having any luck getting reception with my XM antennae. I read somewhere that the deck lid was made of compsite matterial so that the GPS antennae could transmit but cannot find where it is.

Has anyone had luck with this?

My xm antenna is "sticky taped" to the trunk lid. It has been there for three years with no issues.
