We've discussed at length how the Mercedes-Benz 600 Grosser limousine is the "Most Mercedes" Mercedes, but would that be the case if it had looked like this?

When I first laid eyes on this W100 prototype, I thought "Edsel". If you are are unaware, Ford's Edsel venture of the 1950s was the automotive industry's epic fail of that decade.
