Multiple facelifts during a product lifecycle?
It's common for Mercedes-Benz and other manufacturers to release facelifts for their product-lines in order to refresh the already aging product and keep the customers interest. However, has Mercedes-Benz done multiple facelifts during a product(for example W124 or W211) life-cycle? Or is there generally only one facelift during a model lifecycle? What about other car manufacturers?

Not really usually 3.5 years after the release of a new model, theres a facelift then another two years and another re-design.
Taking the cls for instance, the W218 body was released in the US in 2012, but in 2013-2014, a full LED headlight varient was offered. Most AMG's were equipped with it as standard equipment but on a 550 you still had the option NOT to get it. Thats as far as I can think when it comes to multiple redesigns
